Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of the Roots mobile app and booking service (the “App”), operated by Roots, Dzirnavu iela 87, Rīga, LV-1011, Latvia (“Roots”, “we”, “us”). By using the App you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.

1. The service

Roots lets you browse our barbers and services, book appointments at our barbershop in Rīga, manage those appointments, and leave reviews. The App is provided for your personal, non-commercial use.

2. Your account

• You may sign in with Apple or Google, or continue as a guest. You must provide a valid phone number so we can reach you about your appointments.
• You are responsible for the accuracy of the information you provide and for activity under your account.
• You must be at least 16 years old, or have the consent of a parent or guardian, to use the App.

3. Bookings, changes and cancellations

• Booking an appointment through the App is a request for a service at the selected date and time. Some bookings may require confirmation by the barbershop.
• Please cancel or reschedule as far in advance as you can if you’re unable to attend, so the slot can be offered to someone else. You can manage bookings in the App.
• Repeated no-shows or late cancellations may affect your ability to book. Prices shown in the App are indicative and may change.

4. Reviews and content

You are responsible for any review or content you submit. Do not post content that is unlawful, false, offensive, or infringes others’ rights. We may remove content or reviews that breach these Terms.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to misuse the App, including attempting to disrupt or gain unauthorised access to it, using it for fraudulent bookings, or copying it without permission.

6. Intellectual property

The App, the Roots name and logo, and all related content are owned by us or our licensors and are protected by law. You may not use them without our prior written permission.

7. Disclaimers

The App is provided “as is”. We do our best to keep it available and accurate but do not guarantee it will be uninterrupted or error-free. Barber availability and services are subject to change.

8. Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from your use of the App. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under Latvian law.

9. Privacy

Our handling of your personal data is described in our Privacy Policy.

10. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Changes take effect when posted, indicated by the “Last updated” date above. Continued use of the App means you accept the updated Terms.

11. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Latvia. Disputes are subject to the jurisdiction of the Latvian courts.
