Delete your account

How to delete your Roots account and personal data.

You can delete your Roots account and the personal data linked to it at any time. Deletion cancels your upcoming bookings and permanently anonymises your personal data — it cannot be undone.

Option 1 — in the app (immediate)

Open the Roots app.
Go to the Profile tab.
Tap Delete Account and confirm.

Your account is removed straight away.

Option 2 — request it by email

If you booked as a guest, no longer have the app installed, or can’t sign in, email us and we’ll delete your data for you. Please include the name and phone number you used to book, so we can find and verify your record.

We complete email deletion requests within 30 days and may contact you first to confirm your identity.

What is deleted

Your name, phone number and email address.
Your sign-in identifier (Apple / Google) and push-notification token.
Your reviews and profile photo.
Your upcoming bookings are cancelled and your booking history is anonymised.

What we may keep

We may retain anonymised records that no longer identify you, and any information we are required to keep for legal or accounting purposes — for only as long as the law requires. Everything else is removed.
